Today is BLOG DAY in Bulgaria.

Since Monday, April 14th is Blog Day in Bulgaria, and it is now morning in Bulgaria, I now officially begin my blog.

Today I will combine two of my pet peeves into one entry. Do not try this at home, unless you have first had a few drinks.

In 1956, the Westbury Music Faire opened in Westbury, Long Island. I have gone there to see wonderful shows ever since I was a little boy.

My first pet peeve concerns naming rights in America. Since everything in America is now for sale, including naming rights to stadiums, theaters, highways, etc., etc., I was not surprised to learn that the Westbury Music Faire had become the North Fork Theatre. More recently, it has now become the Capital One Bank Theatre. If things continue at their present pace, I predict that in 2012, the White House will be re-named the Benjamin Moore Paints Eggshell White House.

My second pet peeve involves the pathetic plethora of polls. My poll of the day, asked of 75 people with detached retinas, is this:

There will be a new Yankee Stadium for opening day in 2009. Would you like the new stadium to be named:

1) Vagisil Vaginal Douche Dome
2) Liquid-Plumr Foaming Pipe Snake Stadium
3) Preparation H Anti-Itch Cream Arena

47 percent voted for Vagisil Vaginal Douche Dome
28 percent voted for Liquid-Plumr Foaming Pipe Snake stadium
16 percent voted for Preparation H Anti-Itch Cream Arena
9 percent had no opinion

See you tomorrow
