Bobs Eye View

This blog entry has been partially hydrogenated.

"In cryogenics they freeze you until science discovers a cure for what killed you, and then they revive you.  But what if you froze to death?"
          -George Miller

B.E.V. has been a proud, card-carrying member of the National Association of Salad Shooters (N.A.S.S.) since they were founded in 1974.  Let's all say the N.A.S.S. motto together:
"Salad shooters don't shoot salads, people do!"

MEA CULPA

Some of you may know that Mea Culpa is the adopted child of Mia Farrow and Maya Angelou. Mea culpa is also Latin for "My bad."  Yesterday, the last paragraph of the Bobs Eye View blog had spacing problems.  As I started to get up from my desk to see who was firing gunshots down the block, I spilled my morning martini on the computer keyboard, but I suspect it was the olive that did most of the damage.  Mia, Maya, Mea Culpa.

THREE'S COMPANY - NINE BILLION IS A CROWD

Now that we are in the 21st century, the population of India has swelled to more than one billion people.  As I reported a while back, by the middle of this century (if my math is correct, that would make it 2050), India's population is expected to swell (as in gee, ain't that swell) to 1.6 billion people.

The population of Earth is expected to explode to 9 billion by 2050.  NINE BILLION!
That is one McDonald hamburger for every person on the planet.  Of course, we'll have to eat those burgers standing on each other's shoulders.

See You Tomorrow.
