IT'S IN THE BAG
While in Savannah, I glanced at the newspaper, the Savannah Morning News. What I read had my heart racing with anticipation. The 2008 National Grocers Association will be holding its Best Baggers Contest in Las Vegas this summer. I will be there, and will report back to you on all the action.
In addition to wanting miniature golf as a future Olympic event, I am actively campaigning to have Bagging represented in the Olympics. Some of you may know that in high school, I was voted most likely to become a bag boy, so I have a special attachment to this sport.
At the Las Vegas event, the baggers will be timed and judged on the proper way to build a grocery bag, weight distribution, speed, overall style, appearance and attitude (my favorite category). The top three winners will receive scholarships.
