Bobs Eye View

THIS DATE IN HISTORY

July 29, 1914: The first transcontinental call was made between New York and San Francisco. If whoever made that first call had Sprint as their phone service, they would still be on hold waiting to talk to a human being!

HOLE IN ONE FLOUNDER

As many of you know, my favorite newspaper in all of Ft. Lauderdale is the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel.  On a heavy news day, I can read it cover-to-cover in one minute and eleven seconds.

In yesterday's Sun-Sentinel, there was a story about officials investigating what killed hundreds of fish at a lake at the Woodmont Country Club golf course in Tamarac, Flori-DUH. The fish were found floating this past Sunday morning.  I think the answer is obvious: mass suicide.  Golf is boring enough for a human being to watch.  Just imagine how boring it would be for fish to watch country-club republicans, hacking away at that little white ball, day in and day out.  I would suggest that officials start searching for some type of suicide note.

See You Soon.
