Bobs Eye View

THE LIKABILITY FACTOR

In 2000, the American voter was asked whom they would prefer to have a beer with.  The majority chose Bush.  I've been out of town.  How has that worked out?

I am happy to report that we, as voters, are finally growing up, becoming more sophisticated, and focusing on what's really important in the upcoming election.  The Lifetime Network is now asking female voters whom they would rather carpool with and whom they would want to vacation with.  In both cases, they chose Senator Obama over Senator McCain.

51 percent said they would rather ride with Obama, while 31 percent chose McCain.  49 percent said they would rather go on vacation with Obama, while 26 percent chose McCain.

Bobs Eye View's own Poll People, Gallop, Canter & Trot, has asked 129 voters who have never had major surgery, and own at least one TV that is 46 inches or larger, the following question:

If you were on vacation with either Obama or McCain, and driving with one of them in a very rural part of Alabama at 3:30 A.M., and the car's water pump busted, and you couldn't get a signal on your cell phone because you had Sprint, with whom would you rather hitchhike with to the nearest bar to call for roadside assistance?

85 people said the question was too long, thus proving that the average American now has the attention span of a parakeet.

15 percent said they would rather hitchhike with McCain

11 percent said they would rather hitchhike with Obama

9 percent had no opinion

5 percent said they would never vacation in, or drive through Alabama

4 percent said Cindy McCain reminds them of a Stepford wife.

See You Soon.
